ON SITE REPLACEMENT and CHIP REPAIR INFO You can explain the reason, but the last statement
heard will be "I don't care about safety, I just need someone to come and fix my
windshield". Good luck Margaret, we still ain't gonna put you at risk, others
may..WE WON'T!!!
It is so
frustrating to know that so many people can be duped by something as misleading As windshield repair, or
onsite windshield replacement....
"CHIP REPAIR...COSMETIC COVERUPS FOR YOUR WINDSHIELD"
OR
"IF YOU PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT IT IS STILL A PIG"
Some glass replacement companies would have you believe that a windshield "repair" will actually bring the windshield back to it's pristine,
unaltered state it was before the "chip" or "crack", It Just don't happen Vern,
That windshield is damaged and no amount of resin is going to restore
the purpose of the intended unaltered windshield, and that is your
SAFETY. That
"repaired" crack or chip is NOW a weak point that will be the first to go when
your airbag deploys or if you are ever involved in a rollover situation. But on
the other hand, if that company can get you to agree to
a repair, their total expense would be .15 cents for repair material, so who
saves? you or the replacement company? Another hard nosed approach to look at
is...Is your, or your passengers lives and safety only worth .15 cents??
ON SITE WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT
In total
reality I personally would never have an "onsite" installation....WHY YOU ASK???
Well Vern it's like this, it's the most inefficient form of windshield
installation, (pinch weld damage, dirt and debris being deposited into the
urethane bed, improper preparation, UV flash curing, old molding being reused, clips broken and not replaced, installs being done in the rain, installs being done when the weather is below 40 degrees), plus the installers
have no consideration of your vehicle or your safety, they are just there to
"lick'em and stick'em" and get to the next one as quick as possible, the more
they do, the more they make, so which is more important to them...your
installation or what they can make, my bet is on how much can they make...pop me
another cold one Vern.
